Unión Esportiva Cornellà, S. A. D. (Catalan: Unió Esportiva Cornellà) is a Spanish football team based in Cornellà de Llobregat, in the autonomous community of Catalonia. Founded in 1951 it plays in Primera División RFEF – Group 2, holding home games at RCDE stadium, which has a capacity of 40,000 spectators.

History

Club logo until 2021

Unión Deportiva Cornellà was founded on 29 April 1951 by the merging of Club Atlético Padró and Academia Junyent. Since its foundation the club participated in regional competitions and Tercera División until the season 2013/2014, when it achieved the historic promotion to the Segunda División B.

On 6 January 2021, Cornellà upset La Liga giants Atlético Madrid by a score of 1–0 in the second round of the Copa del Rey. They were eliminated in the following round by Barcelona, as the final score was 2–0 after extra time.

UD Cornellà to hiszpański klub piłkarski z siedzibą w Cornelli de Llobregat w Katalonii. Drużyna gra obecnie w Segunda División RFEF, czwartym poziomie hiszpańskiej piłki nożnej.

UD Cornellà została założona w 1951 roku i przez większość swojej historii grała w niższych ligach. Drużyna odniosła pewne sukcesy w Copa del Rey, krajowym pucharze Hiszpanii. W sezonie 2014/15 awansowała do półfinału, pokonując po drodze dwie drużyny z La Liga: Real Valladolid i RCD Espanyol.

Stadionem domowym UD Cornellà jest Estadi Municipal de Cornellà-El Prat. Stadion został otwarty w 2009 roku i mieści 14 500 widzów.

UD Cornellà ma silną sekcję młodzieżową, która wychowała wielu utalentowanych graczy. Najbardziej znanym absolwentem akademii jest Gerard Piqué, który grał w reprezentacji Hiszpanii i Barcelonie.
