Po rozwiązani NSL Brisbane Strikers złożyło wniosek o grę w A-League, jednak Football Federation Australia odrzuciło ofertę klubu z Brisbane. Obecnie Brisbane Strikers występuje w National Premier Leagues Queensland, następczyni Queensland State League.
